Izmir Iron and Steel Industry, which was established in Aliaga in 1975, has continuously grown over the years and has made significant investments. It put the rolling mill facilities into operation in 1983, the steel mill in 1987 and added the high-tech profile mill from SIEMENS / PRIMETALS TECHNOLOGIES to its structure in 2013.
IDC's modern facilities in Izmir Aliaga operate on an area of 550 thousand square meters and have an annual production capacity of 3,100,000 tons of liquid steel and 900,000 tons of ribbed rebar. While billets and blooms of various sizes are produced in the steel mill, ribbed rebars in the range of 08-040 mm are produced in the Integrated Rolling Mill Facilities.
